These reading and listening comprehension questions are used for literacy testing on the preps. At the beginning of the Preps year students are interviewed individually to assess their reading ability.

These documents are from the English online interview. At the case study school they were used during prep testing. The sheets identify if students can recognise letters, both capital and lower case, and also the letters sound.

This quote highlights the importance of the class teacher being the one who conducts assessment. This was especially important at the case study school during prep assessments. If an outside source does the testing, particular information, such as pencil grip, could be left out or not recognised.
These personal reflective notes were taken on one of the prep assessment days. Notes are in relation to the classes assessment culture, and how testing was used.

These artefacts are demonstrating to me the importance of assessment and how it influences students and the school. It has been a positive contribution to my professional stance as I have been part of and have seen the prep testing and interviews.
